Pretty redundant but whatever.

For one, there's the entire structure of the special where he lunges like a drunk retard after supposedly "offensive" subjects in response to about 12 people on Twitter criticizing a trans joke that he made in another special.

Now here comes the part where you're not convinced because you hold the same resentment for that crowd as Chappelle.

He made some comments about the current climate of comedy but they were jokes, not at all mean spirited or vindictive, and they made his fans laugh

I.e. What a comedian is supposed to do

The only people who took it the wrong way were a handful of uptight liberal critics at Vox/Vice/TYT and their readers... Oh and you, of course

But he's always commented on the taboo. There was no fundamental difference between his material now and the material in chappelle show.

And the LGBT jokes were among his tamest ones.. just as tame as the ones "12 people on twitter" lashed out against last time.

It was both. I didn't say it was mean-spirited though.

Nah, the content wasn't offensive, it was just boring.

Yes there is: this special is simply not that funny. Just look at how 70% of your praise comes down to the politics of the special and how it totes pwns anyone who dares criticize Chappelle.

You ever hear a band run a good formula or sound into the ground by repeating it, each time lacking more of that original spark that made their sound so special? It's kinda like that.

Neat! Chappelle can even make a tame joke unfunny, now that's the mark of a true comedian.

This is about as reductionist and stupid as saying 70% of the appreciation for Carlin's 7 dirty words is how he totes pwns the Christian conservatives

Comedy almost always plays with societal taboos. Pointing out the specifics of how isn't political cheerleading. You just don't happen to like his politics so now it's "boring." Mindless hypocrite.

In this case, spitefulness is a good synonym.

Not that I was calling the bit vindictive in that response, but lunging after a subject like a drunk retard with little humour in a comedy special with a structure built on showing zealous LGBT defenders who's boss is inherently vindictive.

Funny how I pretty much called this huh. Chappy should take notes.
