This is still the kinda **** that gets you into actual controversy from time to time. Being edgy and dashing pc norms are basically the same thing. The only thing that changes is what's considered PC

His special is receiving nearly unanimous positive reception, so no I wouldn't call it edgy. He definitely tried though I'll give him that.

Bigger and Blackerer was good too but everything he's done since 2016 has been straight trash. Same style as earlier, just more reactionary and little actual humour behind what he's saying. Now who does that remind me of...

.... That is often the case with well done edgy humor. Louis CK, George Carlin, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Ricard Pryor, all well recieved by their audiences while attacked by a few fragile souls.

Ah sí, the great Ricardo Pryor.

Anyways man, don't worry, it's being acclaimed by a lot of fragile souls too. I once said I thought the jokes were underwhelming and this guy accused me of being too PC to like real comedy even though I didn't think anything he said was offensive. I think Chappelle's making a mockery out of them too.

both sides amirite

I don't care what you think of it. I don't consider anti pc to even be a cause that comes into my head until I predicably see all my favorite comedians and entertainers pounced upon by the outrage mob.

If you don't like something cause it offends you then I have no problem you

But when the mob takes someone down they annoy me. They start to look like ants at a BBQ. And you know what we do with them.

i dunno why I just fundamentally don't believe you

I believe you know taking the "that's offensive" angle is a losing angle in comedy

Maybe I'm wrong. But I'm guessing you like exactly 0 comedy specials that have the kind of content Chappelle's had, regardless of the jokes or execution.

Like what?

The "well I can say whatever I want!" approach in this special just comes off as try hard and reactionary. Most of the great edgy humour out there comes more naturally.

Your opinion is noted and duly discarded.
