So I decided to investigate and watch the original video Hasan was reacting to. Here it is.
On second glance, yeah Bill burr isn't being funny in this clip. Nor is he really being particularly insightful. His main refrain is just "what about us?!" I thought I had seen this rant a while back and thought it was good. But yeah. It's actually pretty mediocre. You only like it because he is vaguely agreeing with you, even though you know deep in your heart that he's not a comrade. |
He's not a comrade cause while he agrees with socialism he doesn't think there's any point in getting invested in something he doesn't think is going to happen. And I just posted that video to annoy you personally cause I knew you'd have to respond. You got cucked, bitch.

I saw Eddie Griffith Adele Givens Tommy Davidson Bill Bellamy and Smoky Saurez all on the same night. They were having a Valentines Day special. Bill was the host but I wish he did a full set. My girl was so hyped to see Eddie and he let her the **** down lol.
He decided to roast different races and sexualities. He went in hard on gays dropping the F bomb for like 15 mins straight. I kinda wanted to get up and leave. I wasn't there for the homophobic BS. Near the end of his set he goes on a mini apology tour of the different races but never says anything towards the gays so it made me feel like it was more than just jokes and he meant some of that ****. Adele Givens should've been the headliner she was constantly funny and had me dying throughout her whole set. |

^ not one of my favorite Stanhope bits cause it's pretty transparently a humble brag about how special his geniuos brain is

**** you. The part where the carnival music starts and his brain starts tormenting him is brilliant.

Steve Harvey doing white guy voice is the pinnacle of hacky def jam nonsense that unfortunately passes for black comedy.

Yeah for that period in time it was typical but it works for his audience and it was funny to them. I agree it wouldn't really be all that nowadays. It's the same as George Lopez making his Mexican jokes and how hackey that is seen nowadays compared to when he wass first telling them. |
Well I too wanted to share my thoughts on Steve Harvey but no longer feel like posting on this site. Music Banter will have to do without the jadis treatise on Steve Harvey.

You can still share your opinions of Steve and that particular clip you posted.

Stand up comedians are cringe.

I watched a bit of Tom Segura this morning and I will always enjoy his comedy style. That smartass / sarcastic sense of humor but he's actually good at it.

I saw Jimmy Pardo around 18 months ago at a local comedy club. He put on the best live comedy show I’ve ever seen. Only about 5 to 10 percent of his act is pre-written. The rest is riffing on audience members. So if you ever go to see him, don’t sit up front unless you want to be a target of his jokes.
