Making treehouses and crazy swings that swung out over great drops. I remember a fat kid using a swing we made and it snapped when he was right out and he fell a good 25 feet. Broke his arm. It was really funny at the time. Kids are so cruel.

Conkers was a good game. A game that took effort and planning. First you had to find a horse chestnut tree, then you had to climb the bloody thing and shake the conkers off. Then they needed peeling, and there were all manner of methods to toughen 'em up. Soaking in vinegar being the most popular. It was pretty gutting when a conker that you went out and found, and prepared, and had won many matches, was finally bested and broken.

My set went to go live on a farm after some insomniac mornings of mine. My sister would watch me play this game and I would antagonize her by going GTA and running over helpless pedestrians for no reason at all. Good times.
