I loved Prince of Persia, and the Assassins Creed movie is supposed to be pretty good.
I agree. Most games have video footage all layered out and ready to go. They just need to imitate the footage.

Edit: and the problem with the casting for Green Lantern was that Ryan Reynolds is famous for his one liners. Green Lantern and Ryan Reynolds were just a terrible combination. The only thing they got right actually with Reynolds was skin color.

LOL it does not. Quit bitching because the movie will probably suck as bad as the show did for bigger reasons than they didn't cast your favourite cracker.

And it's an iconic piece of gleefully/horribly cheesy Japanese-American children's nostalgia that should not be tampered with. Anything can be ruined.

One of the major complaints about Power Rangers is its repetitive and overused plot. Here's about 99% of the episodes.

1. Power Rangers live normal teenage life.
2. Bad guys come up with dumb plan.
3. The innumerable minions show up and the Rangers fight them without their costumes.
4. The episode's unique monster shows up.
5. Power Rangers defeat/come close to defeating it.
6. Major villain makes the monster grow.
7. Rangers defeat the monster with their mkost powerful Megazord available.
8. Rangers live normal teen life and learn something from the fight.

I don't mind reworking the plot's layout, but Power Rangers has an obvious feel. And appearance DOES matter. I've seen complaints about appearance with everythnig from the wide-release Green Lantern movie to the Mega Man fan film. Appearance is a part of representation. Trying the reinvent the nostalgic monents that weren't a part of the bad things about a show isn't a very smart move. At least the writers of Power Rangers knew what they were doing. They got actors who had skill in martial arts, and were decent enough actors for the role. The fight scenes between Tommy and Jason were actually fairly badass.

Just imagine it. Bryan Cranston as Zordon.

I know it's a little odd for a full grown man to complain about a Power Rangers movie. But if I wanna see a piece of my childhood improved on, improve it and don't rework all the little things that don't have to be reworked in the first place. Who wants the highlights of their childhood tampered with? I admit Power Rangers is a dumb show, but it's perfect for children and it was still a lot of fun for me as a kid. And that's not something I want reinvented in almost every way. I can make Power Rangers more PG-13 without having to resort to political correctness/racial diversity bordering on a lack of logic. A lady born from two Mexican parents who doesn't look the least bit Chinese shouldn't play a girl named Trini Lang.

If the movie ends up surprisingly good, OK. But I still think my cast choices are much better. Probably expensive, but hey. Power Rangers sells like hotcakes. And with the amount of children's shows turned into PG-13 movies and the number of superhero movies coming out, it's a no-brainer that a bunch of little kids will drag their parents to see yet another PG-13 movie.

Oh your poor nostalgia. I hope that it can make it through this.

So you don't have any show from your childhood that brings back good memories?

Yes but I'm not going to get my panties in a knot because they changed the race of one of the masked characters. Did you know that they're using ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ACTORS WHAT THE **** DON'T KILL MY CHILDHOOD.
