games they should make
creative minds of mb,
what games do you think they should make? Serious responses only!!! 1.) battlefield:dinosaur land(tentative title) I'm tired of slow, cumbersome tanks. Lets ride t-rexes, and fly in pterodactyls. They would spawn out of eggs (which makes more sense then tanks randomly appearing) and would be swifter and more nimble. To balance this they would also die faster. It would be the same modern guns and everything. More melee focus, spears and swords. Campers would have to worry about a herd of raptors tearing them apart if they camp in the jungle too much. 2.) Fallout:Oregon trail (or vice versa) Pretty self explanatory. Oregon trail but set in fallout post apocalypse. Kids could get radiated and turn into mutants. Do you keep em or have to kill your own mutant children? Dramatic moments ensue. 3.) realistic, gritty Star Fox game. Satisfy the generation of furries. Your idea's? |
Grand Theft Normal
This game may exist already (and sort of does in Sims). But I envisage it as GTA, but you have to be normal. You don't run people over and do all the crazy shit. You have missions, which are about finding jobs or looking after your kids. It could be boring as hell, but it could also be the best game ever. It would be an incredible test of patience and suppression. Kill your nutter gamer tendencies, and achieve your goals lawfully. |
I like it.
It should be like animal crossing ie stuff happens in real time. If you don't play your character after a while he'll get all fat and lazy and can't be bothered to leave the house. |
I like number 2, because Oregon Trail was the ****!

The Grocery Store
You go to the grocery store and then buy things maybe apples or oatmeal or whatever you like. |

for years I've been joking that there should be a video game where a retail employee has to navigate the salesfloor, avoiding customers, to get to the breakroom without being pestered/interrupted but the customer interactions would be really extreme (e.g.; customer is a cow with calves, breathes fire, you die) and every level would have a different layout with advancing difficulty.

I'm a Writer! A Video Game Writer, Mom!
You try to come up with a video game concept but just because you're an artist trying to make some money. Half of the game is playing darts on the ceiling with pencils. |

I think you could actually do this. Make it a downloadable flash game for touchscreen gadgets. Im picturing it kind of like frogger |

I'd like to see a renaissance of the 'bullet hell' shoot 'em up. The genre on home consoles today is practically dead yet remains one of the purest gaming experiences ever created. The sense of satisfaction that comes from learning the systems and exploiting them with style to achieve what once seemed impossibly difficult is palpable:

A homo sapiens genetic engineering game, similar to Dragon Warrior Monsters. You play an immense, superior alien who captures and breeds humans for optimum rarity and specific traits then use those humans for certain tasks on a planet.

As of lately I have been wanting a realistic survival game that isn't based around a zombie apoc. I want to play "Cast Away" the video game. |
@dwn
you should check out this pretty crappy game: http://img.gamefaqs.net/box/9/8/6/61986_front.jpg |

I actually have an idea.
I call it: The Spider and the Web. You play as Robert the Bruce, who has a fascinating story. The game would be set up similar to Assassins Creed or a 13th Century GTA. The game begins just before a new King is chosen, do a couple missions preparing for the coronation and the like, then when John Balliol is chosen, join in the English invasion of Scotland. After a bunch of missions about finding your own way and your path, Bruce would join forces with William Wallace and fight against the English. After this too is unsuccessful, Bruce would feel repressed, knowing he had to reluctantly do missions for the bad guy English forces until your character can't take it anymore and fights back. You would go from a lowly rebel to King of Scotland by the end of the game, fighting leprosy, politics, royalty and propaganda. Your character would face important emotional challenges as his family were taken from him and he's forced into exile. You experience many highs and lows. You get cool swords and armour. The combat takes place mainly in important battles, but the game is free roam as you travel across the Scottish highlands on horseback scouring for wild boar to eat. You can take over English strongholds, fight off invasions, recruit towns folk, do side quests such as jestering, hunting, jousting and caber tossing. I dunno, just think it'd be cool. Here's a shortened version of Robert the Bruce's full story, you tell me: BBC - History - Robert the Bruce |
