I haven't seen many films this year but my favourite that I have watched is What We Do In The Shadows. You should totally check it out, it's about vampires that flat together, it's a Kiwi film and was made by Flight of The Concords actors Brett McKenzie and Jemaine Clement:

The only film from 2014 that I've seen is 22 Jump Street. It was pretty good.

1) X-Men: Days Of Future Past
2) Captain America: Winter Soldier
3) Bad Neighbors
4) Lego Movie

I don't think I've seen any more than that

Haven't seen the others you mentioned but negatory on Captain America, just no. That movie had some pretty fantastic action sequences, but that does not make it a top movie, or even worth being part of this discussion.

i could not disagree more...which is obvious since i've already mentioned it as an easy runner up to my top five

so putting aside some pretty fun action scenes....this movie seriously strengthens the relationship between Cap and Black Widow....introduces the "Winter Soldier"....practically slaps you in the face with the next villain.....which also basically tells you where they are going with these characters.....and has an amazing scene on a roof top where Marvel basically tells you just what they are thinking about for the future in movies

i'd say best superhero movie yet this year....and i loved both X-Men and Spiderman.....i also almost cry every time i see a Guardians of the Galaxy billboard

I'm not saying you can't have it in your list, but have you seen Edge of Tomorrow? It puts CA to shame I think.

I feel like I've only seen a few blockbusters here and there this year but the movies that I definitely need to see and feel like it will find it's way into my top 5 are Snowpiercer and Words and Pictures.
