I started watching it the other week and have been really enjoying it. The newest episode was really well done too, the last 15 minutes or so are pure HBO gold.

I haven't seen the last episode but I'm watching it as well.

The last episode was one of the greatest episodes of television I have ever seen. The last ten minutes were f*cking incredible.

Matthew McConaughey is now one of my favorite actors.

This is the best show on television. I almost like it better than Breaking Bad. I love how they have only one writer and one director for all the episodes. That keeps things so consistent and gives the viewers crazy detail when rewatching episodes. I'm going to miss these characters net season though.

I thought this was a one-off mini series of sorts, but I guess given its popularity it was inevitable for it to be renewed.

It's taking an "American Horror Story" type route where the story ends and the next season is an entirely new story with new characters, directors, and writers. At least this is what I have heard/read.

easily the best show on tv right now. It's interesting how many tropes, cliche's, stereotypes etc you name it, of the detective show drama are present in this series, yet it still manages to feel completely fresh and elevates the genre.

The director is superb, episode 5, like you alluded to earlier exo, is one of the best episodes of tv i've seen in recent memory.

Spoilers for those caught up:What do you think Mcaunaghey's involvement with the case is? His character suggested an inside job with police involvement, but the present detectives on the case seem to think he's involved."
