edit2: Craig Ferguson also sucks I mean. All late night talk show hosts are pretty much horribly unfunny

Bu yao. Conan is brilliant. He had a potted plant shoot some dude. How is that not comic genius? And Craig has a dancing horse. That's ****ing art, dude.

check him out on the snoop dogg show(another very great talk show)

I am not American so most of this goes over my head but Craig Ferguson is from my home town so he gets my vote.

CF's show is dreadfully unfunny when he's doing prepared skits but can be funny as feck when they're just improvising. Overall Letterdude is my favorite, esp. when he's pissed off about something, plus Schaefer has the best band (LOVE Will Lee). Kimmel is a bit too smug for me. Conan comes in a very close second for me, and I mean very close. Leno's show SUCKS and he's justly vilified IMO, but I saw him live in Vegas in '06 doing stand-up and he was outstanding. Hands down, HANDS DOWN my least favorite is Fallon, I think he is a fecking IDIOT and have NO idea why he's popular. Arsenio was always plastic, phony and forced for me, I never enjoyed his show. Carson, at the top of his game (which had kinda passed him by the time he gave the show to Leno), was the master IMO. And no one person, before or since, could launch a comedian's career like Johnny. If he asked you over to the seat next to him after your set, it was like hitching your wagon to the stars. Just look at the current crop of talk show hosts, how many of them got their big break on the Tonight Show.

I can't stand Letterman or Leno.

Kimmel is decent.

Conan is brillant and I used to watch Craig Ferguson and he's pretty top notch with his puppets and ****. I never watched Fallon but I love that he has The Roots as his house band.

**** yeah. I have love for Leno just because his Headlines bit puts me in stitches. But I can't stand Letterman. A. He isn't funny. Has anyone in the history of time ever laughed at one of his lists? They actively suck the funny out of any room where they play on TV. And B. He's such a superior douche. I just want to punch him in the face anytime he ever opens his mouth.

Leno is on my ****list for what he did to Conan and Letterman is just a skivvy dude. Sexually abusing the women that work for him.

To me, late night talk shows are where comedians go to sell out and die. The nightly opening segments of topical humor is a formula designed for failure, network TV standards force the hosts to be bland and to rely on silly trademark schticks, and the scripted celebrity interviews are infuriatingly transparent and dull.

I mostly like Arsenio (in the 90s and now) because he talks seriously about race and other issues that all the white hosts don't touch. Or maybe they do now. I wouldn't know because I gave up watching them years ago.

The Top 10 lists are dumb. I swear that Letterman uses a laugh track with them.

Which is another reason why Craig Ferguson is amazing. He just rambles on about nonsense with his guests and if he feels like it he might eventually get around to talking about whatever the guests are there to promote in the first place.
