I found the first season to be pretty hit or miss for Archer, the first episode in particular. It's definitely a show that got better with time as the support characters got more fleshed out (Pam and Cheryl were two standout characters for me), but if you find yourself turned off by the subversive sense of humor I can't say you'll get anything out of it.

I always meant to check this show out. Mostly because John Benjamin does the voice for Archer and he is absolutely hilarious. He was brilliant on Home Movies. Coach McGuirk will always be my favorite alcoholic soccer coach

In my opinion Archer is one of the best and funniest animated shows ever.
The voice acting and the dialogues are just top notch. The plots are lots of fun as well. Seasons 1-3 are almost perfect and I've rewatched them countless times. Season 4 sadly has some really weak and lame episodes, but season 5 was pretty good again. Haven't seen the new season yet, hope it won't be a letdown.

Well after how great season 5 was, it seems like a bit of a step backwards to go back to the status quo. Still, as last week's elevator episode showed, so long as there's good dialogue and delivery, the show will continue to be funny.

From the first episode of season one:
Cheryl: Archer, you really hurt me. I had to get stitches. Archer: Ya, but I broke my watch LOLOLOL!

I just rewatched Lo Scandalo from Season 3 recently. Probably for the fifth time or so. It still hasn't gotten old.
