Personally I wouldn't mind. I loved being a female character in Saint's Row, but I can certainly imagine in a game more concerned with a realistic storyline that it would be distracting to see a female character in the role of a violent mobster for many people.

Who says that she even has to be a violent mobster though? They could take it in a completely different direction or just make her an assassin. There are violent spies and assassins that are female. I just don't get why people feel like it's just a super stretch and also why does it have to be based off of being "realistic or convincing" when it's a fictional character!!

And what "violent spies and assassins" are you referring to? We're talking about real people so Electra doesn't count. Quote:

Why are you so stuck in reality for a fictional game?

lets make the gta character a handicapped grandma. cmon chameleon, your rousey example was crap. i dont think itd be cool to have a female lead character because women are less violent badass than men/weaker/etc. weve been over this plenty of times, its just fact

And I like my GTA games realistic in some aspects and unrealistic in others, it's not black and white but shades of grey. GTA IV was too realistic, Saints Row is too over the top, V is that happy balance. |

Highly disappointing. Since I don't care about playing GTA tennis, yoga, or triathlons, etc, AND I find most of the vehicle-based missions tedious and boring, this game to me is at least as bad as GTA 4 (which is okay in my opinion).
I was excited by all the hype but I just don't get it. This article is the first piece of writing about the game that resonates with me: Grand Theft Auto V review: A rebel game that forgot how to be transgressive.

agree that the tennis and yoga are useless but they take up what, 5 minutes, of a 40 hour experience? And I thought the triathlon was fun |
