1. I am not an old guy from the country.

2. You seem certain that this situation isn't goofy. I'm pretty sure you just like the movie and aren't thinking too hard.

3. Regardless of what you think, there is a perfectly reasonable situation where the old guy tells the other guy to **** off.

Obviously. However, that's not the only outcome and its plausibility to you definitely doesn't make other outcomes unrealistic.
