^Exactly. When I heard about the Steam Box, I wasn't like "oh man, i'm going to jump on that", I instead thought it was going to be a way for Steam to be incorporated for both PC and console gamers. Pete basically said what I would say in terms of that. I won't say it will be mind blowingly great, but it's just cool to see.

At the end of the day PC gamers are playing the kinda games they like on a system they like and console gamers are playing the kinda games they like on a system they like. That's why they chose the system they did. There are advantages and disadvantages to both PCs and consoles. To say one is better than the other is silly - the best is whichever one a person enjoys most.

True. Although, I will say that I feel I can save more by being a PC gamer than I would if I were a console gamer. Like I said before, while most are now paying 500-600$ on the new consoles, i'm still paying penny change to get really awesome games through Steam sales.

Definitely. I'd be lying if I said I look at the price of PC games and don't feel conned. Even brand new releases are usually 40% cheaper on PC than their console counterparts.

Kind of happy there are no launch titles that are really worth checking out. I really don't want to feel forced into buying it at full price. If they had Uncharted 4 or something as a launch title, I'd have a tough time holding back.

400-500 on the new consoles and that's similar to the price of you upgrading your video card/sound card which is technically what it boils down to with getting a new console atm well also processor too.

There is gamefly and you can rent games from Redbox so the whole Steam games are cheaper thing isn't that much of a positive.

I will admit that the whole free thing is a slight bonus.

Also I feel like you two guys(Ki and Pete) are downplaying the reception behind the Steam box. People can play their pc games on the tv now but the box will make it much easier and it will have it's own OS and controller. There are definitely PC players that want to play their games on their tvs with all the mods and stuff that they get from playing pc games. I honestly don't care much about mods.

I could give a crap about steam box. And I think the master race aspect is just as relevant. Consoles will never have the capability of the high specs a nice computer does. Reason being people spend what the want on a pc but the consoles are for the most part pretty standard and they need to keep the price down while comps have no such limit.
