Default Have you read an interesting series of music articles or music related book recently?

I'm a translation student, and my plan for the final essay is to translate, and analyse my translation of, a series of music articles from English into Swedish. The problem is that the supply of international music magazines is extremely limited where I live so it's difficult to find an article. So, my question is, has anyone come across a series of music articles in English recently? If so, where?

The articles could be about anything, I'm just interested in translating the language used by music journalists (metaphors, stylistic features etc.). The text has to be long (around 25 000 - 30 000 characters, no spaces) so I'll probably have to use several articles, but they need to be connected in some way. I suppose it could be either a series of articles by the same journalist, or a series on closely related subjects published in one issue.

If I can't find an article I might look for a music related book instead and translate a small part of it. So, I would appreciate any tips on new and interesting non-fiction music related books as well!

Not strictly music, but definitely relevant: Talent is Overrated by Geoff Colvin. One of the best books I've read in a long time. Everyone should read this, imho, particularly musicians.

Nick Kent - The Dark Stuff.

A selection of some of his work compiled into one book. Contains articles relating to the Sex Pistols, Guns N' Roses, Syd Barrett, The New York Dolls, Johnny Cash and many many more..
