Two different forms of "inaccurate" are being discussed here:
1) Movies whose stories are unrealistic or unfaithful to their subject matter 2) Movies that were misrepresented by their marketing campaigns So which is the goal of the thread?

The OP is mainly about the first one, but I think that the second one qualifies for discussion in this thread. So both work.

I'm going to nominate this one
The first half hour or so feels like a classic Tarantino / 90s psychological suspense flick - something along the lines of Kalifornia, or Natural Born Killers . Then it turns (on a dime or in this case a literal 180 by Salma Hayek) into a retarded rubber vampire slasher movie. |

I swore there was a thread just for misleading trailers but I can't seem to find it right now so this will do.
The Side Effects Trailer This Flight trailer I wasn't really prepared for the emotional rollercoaster this movie was going to take me on about addiction and watching it ruin his life.

Sorcerer (1977)
A *very* good film by the director of "The French Connection" and "The Exorcist", with an unbelievably misleading name.
