Has anyone mentioned Gargoyles yet? One of those cartoons that had my soul as a kid. How they managed to make a show about monsters that turn to stone into such a mature and accomplished piece of child drama is beyond my ken. I found out the other day that it only had three seasons. How could such a brilliant show have only three seasons? And it felt so much longer at the time too.
It was also the first time I ever heard Keith David, who is pretty much the coolest voice actor ever.

I love getting lost on youtube watching depression-era Mickey Mouse and Looney Tunes. Some of those cartoons are so wildly inappropriate these days because of the blatant racism but god, they're entertaining.
Apart from that I love Beavis and Butthead, Regular Show, Bob's Burgers, King of the Hill, Tom & Jerry, Johnny Bravo, Rocko's Modern Life, Daria, South Park, Shin Chan, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Cartoons are so relaxing when you've had to be in serious-mode all day/week and you just don't want to think anymore.

My favorites as a kid were the old Looney Tunes and Simpsons, Ren n Stimpy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Rocko's Modern Life.
Nowadays I mostly watch "adult-cartoons". Bob's Burgers, Archer, South Park... that's really all I can think of. |
