Not to mention III has some of the worst acting and dialog to date.

Oh look, Lucas, another money grabbing ruthlessly disloyal c*nt.

^My sentiments exactly.

But of course I'll watch them, like every other dumb consumer. We should start some sort of online rally, to convince a large amount of people not to go to the cinema to see it, then just wait until it comes out on DVD someone buy it and and put it online for us all to download illegally. Then let the criticism ensue over an unprofitable flop. 4.5 billion you say, I would love it if they didn't make that back.

I don't see how the acting and dialogue in III was any worse than the other two.

I have never been a Star Wars fan so this doesn't particularly bother me.

Well, first of all, Qui Gon Jinn was the only good character in all three of the movies. Everyone else was a two dimensional cardboard cutout. That's not necessarily their fault, since the dialogue could have been written for Days of Our Lives (in content and quality). He was the only character in any of those movies that I actually enjoyed watching on screen, and who therefore gave any of those scenes any semblance of immersion.

Secondly, as poorly made as Phantom Menace was, it still had a recognizable plot that had some semblance of a flow. I honestly have problems recalling what even happened in the other two, because it just seemed to be characters going to do arbitrary things that supposedly advanced the plot, but were just excuses for cheesy CGI effects shots or just poorly executed dialogue scenes meant to get us to the cheesy CGI effects shots.

And lastly (I could probably come up with more, but I'm lazy), Phantom Menace worked as an entertaining children's movie, while the other two movies failed as teenage fluff that remind me of Twilight movie commercials. Phantom Menace may not have been a good Star Wars movie, but I can at least watch it and derive some form of enjoyment out of it.

I definitely agree with the bolded.

Revenge Of The Sith was my favorite of the lot also. Sure it had some holes in it and they patched it together with duct tape, but it had the lore of the original 70's/80s storyline to carry it along.

Meh. I liked it more when it came out just because it was darker than the others, but the journey of Anakin to the dark side was just so poorly done that that movie is beyond redemption. The only thing that entire trilogy had to do was give us Anakin's journey to the dark side, and they totally ****ed it up. They could have ****ed up anything else, and if Anakin's journey to the dark side was believable, then I could have forgiven it, but they didn't, so **** them and **** Revenge of the Sith in particular for trying to shoebox the whole thing into one movie out of sheer laziness.

What exactly were they supposed to bring to light that would make his journey to the darkside more believable? ROTS was a million times better then the bore fest that was Phantom Menace. I literally fell asleep twice before I finished that movie. Maybe its nostalgia talking but I couldn't dive into the storyline of PM it felt like a long drive in a piece of **** car only to discover you went to the Hospital or Dentist.

I'm interested to see where Disney can take it honestly. I hope they don't rely on CGI to the point of it resembling a cartoon. The thing i've always liked about SW was the character development and the acting in the originals was well done.

How about not having a dumb teenager be converted by two or three conversations with some old guy. Anybody dumb enough to change their entire worldview in that short a space of time isn't an interesting hero/villain. A slow, subtle transition to the dark side over all three movies would have been far preferable. And is it just me, or did Palpatine look kinda like a creepy old man trying to seduce a teenage boy?
