cool! I don't care much for the genre, I usually like horror films for other reasons than the horror. I'm not even sure you could call all these films horror, but anyway:

1.The Lure
2.Let the Right One In
3.House
4.Ginger Snaps
5.Alien

and if Heavenly Creatures counts it'd be #1

I only watched The Exorcist this year and it's just too dated for me not to laugh at it but I can see being a teenager and being about it.

I don't think I could pick a top 5 because I love so many horror movies but I do know that Candyman would definitely be in it.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

I'm with you. I didn't watch The Exorcist until sometime in my 20s and my experience with it was 25% laugh out loud funny and 75% boring. I get that it may have been scary to people when it was new, but it hasn't aged well at all.

Ginger Snaps is sooo underrated. Love that movie (even though it's basically about girls growing into adolescence and having their first period), but it's rarely talked about these days.

Don't tell anyone but... I even liked the sequels.

See, that was basically my experience with Alien. I thought the effects from the Exorcist aged much better, especially considering that it's older. Alien Isolation was an awesome game though.

Salo, or 120 Days of Sodomy is probably the most disgusting horror movie. I looked it up again and it's considered a 'Drama/War' movie...? In what goddamn universe? Watched it with some buddies in college to see if I could get anyone to puke. Marquis de Sade was a very disturbed individual.
