Has anyone else ever experienced any problems connecting their PS3's to their home networks? I've been trying to get my roommate's PS3 hooked up so I can download Journey, but every time I try and connect, I get told that I was timed out in obtaining an IP Address. Only way I got around this was by disabling my network security, which I don't like doing for obvious reasons. I've also tried entering in my information manually and I still get the same error message. I know I'm typing in everything correctly too, so that can't be the problem.

What do you mean by opening specific ports though, that's an option that I haven't seen expressed on other forums citing fixes so I'm willing to give that a shot. Could you give me the basic run down, please? |
