Either Ocarina of Time or Red Dead Redemption

HM to Banjo-Tooie and the Metroid Prime trilogy

Idk if it's the best but for me 'Civilization' is one of the best games ive ever played..

I didn't grow up with a computer so i missed out on alot of good Sim games but thankfully Civilization crossed over to gaming consoles and i got to play it.

ive played it in 3 different ports, in the Snes, in the DS and in the Ps3 and every version varied a little but it's still followed the original concept..

Oh I know. Never got to play it but once or twice until it came out on the 360, and then I pretty much played it till the wheels fell off. Disappointing that they made the game a lot shorter, so you couldn't get nearly as into it as with the computer version, but Civ is Civ.

I always wished Civilization was more open ended like Sim city or the sims cause it's a great game but it leaves you wanting more..

maybe they could add an online mode were you could go to war or trade with another player or team up with him against other players

I don't know if you ever played the computer versions, but the game went on for a lot longer in those. They really sped up the passing of time for the console port and it ended up making the game feel more rushed. The lack of expansion packs for the console version also kind of sucked.

Jagged alliance 2, I'm a huge fan of SRPGs and this really was everything I could ask for. From ordering to maintaining and customizing an ungodly selection of guns and explosives, hiring mercenaries and keeping their relationships and moral in check, allowing them to train each other and forming a militia in surrounding towns not to mention the very solid and satisfying turn based gun fights, I've sunk so much time into this game and never got bored.

This is a hard one for me. I could say The Last of Us for its amazing story/graphics/characters, but the gameplay kind of makes it more like a movie.

Ultimately the Super Mario series is the best for me more than anything. I love platform games... n64/snes/ps1. From the series itself: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - my favorite.
