#1 is always the same, although the rest of my top 5 change positions frequently.
1. Phantasy Star Online (Dreamcast/GameCube) - super addicting, the core "three swing" mechanic is still fun after 100s of hours, there is endless stuff to do and find, randomly generated mazes keep things fresh, perfect graphics and audio, and I loved that you could take your character online and off, to play however you wanted to. My desert island game, still a blast after 100s of hours. It's a perfect mix of action and adventure, and you can play at your own pace. 2. Morrowind (PC) 3. Civilization (PC) 4. Ms. Pac Man (arcade) 5. Stuart Smith's Adventure Construction Kit (c64) |
