Spoiler for bubblegum pop:
Arya was "saved" from seeing it by Yoren....although i get the impression that she heard the actual execution which could be just as bad

i wasn't trying to put down Bran ....but i think Bran is becoming something that will be so much more than any other character in the books....and i wasn't trying to say that the other kids are all selfish assholes....well maybe Robb....and i have mixed feelings about Arya

just saying that that scene is Sansa's kind of awakening....and i felt that Martin really likes this character and that she will be very pivotal in the results of the series....

I agree with you. But that concerns me. I don't like when authors have favorites. It seems to "agenda-y." Still, hopefully she can learn a thing or two about politics from her step-father.

I guess there are usually bits and pieces of several books they include in one season. But this is strange... Martin said in an interview that the 4th season will be the second half of book three.

I found the books to be kind of dull (I mean, a page and half to describe the food?)
Still read four, so far, so... it's all %. I liked it.

But, the HBO series is good.

I'll wait till the 4th season ends, and then binge.

I find the books can be really tedious at times. Maybe it's because I haven't passed the second book (I hear book 3 is the best) but the story line is worth the read. I agree that it gets overly descriptive at times. I feel myself saying "ok ok get to the good part already." The wait however after that becomes satisfying.

These comments are strange, considering that George R. Martin is one of the fastest moving fantasy writers around.
