Or maybe just tour the seven kingdoms with Pod and perform Dutch sex shows. Whoever it is, it will be a shame..

Haha. I think she had more potential but it was way ****ed up how they killed her off.

Spoiler for book spoilers:
I'm really confused on what they're doing with Shae though, making her all mama bear over Sansa....I can't imagine what theyre going to do about her death scene or w/e

Omg I know right? Are you taking the piss out of me because I feel like I bring this up in any GOT/ASOIAF conversation I get in?....But yeah, it's really really messed up.
Spoiler for Spoiler:
Assuming they stick to events completely (and I can't see how they can deviate them without taking away massively from Tyrion/Tywin) then I can't see how show watchers are going to be happy. They've made her way too "normal" (not really sure how to describe it) but not only from Tyrions viewing of her but from her own actions...which just seems daft to me. They've kinda messed it by giving her too much depth. But guess we'll see what happens...

Spoiler for A Storm of Swords Spoilers:
I can think of a few ways it could go, but I don't think either of them are at all likely

1) The writers start to make her character more jealous and paranoid with Tyrion's marriage to Sansa which will make her eventual betrayal seem more logical.

2) Tywin will find out about Tyrion and Shae and will pressure her into testifying against Tyrion in exchange for her safety, and then execute her anyways, which will be what spurs Tyrion to kill him, supplanting the Tysha subplot from the book.

Those are my theories at least, but they both contain some pretty hefty flaws.

Yeah Pete, I guess they could do either but I would be very disappointed if they did. I just don't think there is anywhere near enough time for the first one to happen, and the second one would take so much away from Tyrion's character/plot/future imo. The Tysha plot is so integral to his character and Shae knows it. Honestly I thought it was one of the best bits in the book but running with it after the way they have built it up, or changing it completely will really mess **** up. I know it's not a crucial detail in the series, I'm just not sure why they bothered to change it? More on Cat or Cersei would have been more interesting if they purely wanted more female screen time.

Personally I think they will just run the same way as the book and just leave it at that. Maybe they feel they will get more of a shock factor from the shows audience after building her up. Cheap thrills.

Finished up the second season. After hearing so much about it I thought it was going to stray from the book a lot more than it did, as in they'd be making up crazy new plotlines and whatnot, but there weren't too many big changes, at least in my opinion. I really enjoyed the Arya/Tywin parts. That was a great change. On the downside they don't get to build up Roose Bolton's character that much, and they might be humanizing Tywin a bit too much, but whatever. The only thing I didn't really like was no Reed's. I know their parts have been cast so I don't know how they're going to explain that one going forward. It would seem kind of lame if Bran and Hodor just ran into them by luck. The House of Undying part could have been done a lot better as well, but I get why they kind of shied away from going too in-depth with it.

Davos and Stannis are great for their roles. Not feeling Melisandre as much but maybe she'll grow on me.

The guy who plays Theon is doing an amazing job. He nailed Theon's Clash of Kings role pretty much perfectly. It's a pretty drastic story arc that he has to go through though so I'll reserve my judgement for now.

The girl who plays Dany is awful. Those scenes where she's going on about being the mother of dragons (AKA every scene she's in) are tough to watch. I didn't like her in the books either though so not sure if that's playing into it as well.

I can tell Jon/Ygritte is going to be great. Tyrion/Cersei, Tyrion/Bronn, Tyrion/Joffrey, Cersei/Sansa are consistently good combos as well. They've done a good job at building up chemistry between characters.

I kind of am bothered by the whole Paw Paw Tywin act because he's a fierce evil boss man but I can get over it because Maisie was amazing in those scenes.

Dany really is terrible tho I agree.

The House of the Undying was SUCH a joke!!! What about the prophecies!! And Rhaegar!!

I think s3 is a lot better

Two things:

1. Wtf is "paw paw"?

2. Do you realize what ****ing budget they'd need to have the actual House of the Undying as it was in the book AND the battle of Blackwater?

Colloquialism dickface, like Grandpappy

Secondly, I don't care, the Drogo scene was so pointless

1. I still don't get what you're after with the first thing. You don't like him as a grandfather (which he is) because you want him mean? He keeps Joffrey in line.

2. I think people would have preferred the Battle over the Warlocks house.
