Spoiler for You know what:

Yeah, I smiled when I watched it. I felt bad afterwards but whatever, my house is reigning supreme once again. Grey Wind getting shot was easily the saddest part. He had a stupid name and was definitely the most boring Stark wolf (pets take after their owners as they say) but seeing him go was still pretty sad.

The most heartbreaking part of the episode was the silent moment between Robb and Cat, that could have lasted a lifetime in their minds, as he mumbles "mother", he became her little boy again, his manly leader facade had fallen away, and we saw how young he really was, right up until Roose stabbed him.

Spoiler for for those who haven't read the books:

The only reason Robb DID marry Jeyne was because he'd already slept with her and he didn't want her to have a bastard like Jon. This is kind of presumptious on Robb's part, being that Robb is the one who ends up being dead, and Jon ends up being Lord Commander of the Night's Watch who is more than likely going to play a huge part in how Westeros fares through this war since it's more than likely that some serious **** with the Others is going to go down. However, you have to think about Jon's parentage, and think on Ned's character in remembering the stories they put out about Jon's parentage. Ned Stark would never have cheated on Catelyn, no matter what. He was far too honourable to do something like that, no matter his own feelings. On the other hand, the one thing that Ned would put before honour was his own family, as seen by the fact that he confessed to wanting the throne for himself (bull****) because it meant sparing his daughters. Brandon Stark was more of a hotheaded, strong willed, and albeit, more selfish Stark. It would been more of a Brandon move to see bastardy as something you can't rise above, not Ned, because Ned made the Stark family into a unit that accepted anyone who adhered to his own values of loyalty and duty to family. He was nothing like the other Starks like his father, or Brandon, because he played by his own rules, his conscience, and his love for his family (i.e., letting Arya keep her sword, finding her a proper teacher for her sword!!! unheard of in those times, except for only a few families like House Tarth and House Mormont ) rather than anything anybody else thought was "proper" and "right".
Part of me has to wonder if that's why Catelyn loved Robb so much, she seemed to see a lot of Brandon in him rather than Ned, and she also hated Jon for looking so much like Ned.

You make some interesting points there, but...

Spoiler for Spoiler:
I don't think its so much that he doesn't want her to have a bastard though, more that he is doing it out of duty which reinforces the Ned link for me, not Brandon/headstrongess. Apparently he loves her although in the book as he is not a POV character we get a lot less than Game of Thrones gives us. To me it seems more that he is marrying her out of a sense of personal duty which outweighs the political duty to the Freys. For me that is exactly the same course that Ned would have taken. His sense of personal honour stopping him from taking the much easier option. Even if he did love her and couldn't live without her he could have kept her as a quiet bit on the side, Frey would have been happy with that and they could all have been on their merry way-but Robb chose the dutiful way. In the same way Ned could have solved so many problems just murdering Joffrey and putting Renly on the throne etc. As for the parentage yes Ned differs a lot and when you look into it that is why it's so much easier for Jon to be headstrong-to essentially betray whatever he feels for Ygritte and choose "the right course", for the realm. Although, ironically, not what his parents did..."

Anyway I see Robb and Sansa far more as mirrors of Ned/(Cat) so god damn naive, although Sansa will now be in good hands to learn her trade from Littlefinger. Arya is like Lyanna and Ned recognises he can't keep her quiet and it's also why she and Jon are so much closer.
