I think Jaime has just crossed the threshold from being a character I liked a bit to one of my favourites. If I went back in time and told the version of me that had just finished the first episode of season 1 that she'd probably shoot herself to prevent it from happening.

I really feel for him in the series, I liked him in the books, but the look on his face when Roose Trollton played that joke on him practically broke my heart. And obviously the whole bath scene has won over Jaime for a large number of the tv-only watchers, despite the fact he threw Bran out of a window.

Fixed. Right now though he's probably my favourite character in the series.

Just found out the acress who plays Robb's bit on the side is charlie chaplain's grandaughter! (appologies if this has already been mentioned)

I finally finished A Storm of Swords part 2. That was a book.

I'm starting to come around for Stannis when I think about it more. I guess I was just pissed he killed Renly but Renly would have done the same thing, all Renly cared about was Renly. Stannis clearly is a more capable leader, even if he is rigid on justice, he still isn't selfish. Just think about how he keeps Patchface for his daughter, whom everyone acts like he is too cold too. By all logic, he would never want to see Patchface again, since he's a reminder of the tragic death of Steffon and Cassana, his parents.

Mild Spoilers if you haven't seen this weeks episode

Stannis gets screwed constantly in this series, and he only wants to play by the rules. He's one of the most honorably people (up to this point in the show, anyway). He tells his wife about his infidelity directly, he loves his child, he served Robert despite his disinterest in him. He is the rightful heir and if there's any justice, he'll be king.

This question is for people who have read A Dance With Dragons so if you don't want aspects of the story to be ruined, refrain from clicking this spoiler tag.

Spoiler for A Dance With Dragons Spoiler:
Does anyone else kind of not like how we're getting to watch Ramsay Snow torture Theon for this season? I kind of liked how he was absent from the 3rd and 4th book and then brought back in the 5th as a completely different character. I mean I actually had to look up who Reek was when I got to that chapter because I had forgotten. It really made the torture he endured all the more poignant when not even Asha was able to recognize her brother. I mean I guess these scenes are more for establishing Ramsay Snow's character and creating some audience sympathy for Theon, I just think we could do without it.
