Don't worry about the slow burner thing though, George himself has said that the first four episodes are build-ups, then the other 6 are meant to be pretty mad. You've read the book so you don't have to use your imagination.

George basically confirmed that more or less in a conference interview thing recently. I will try to find it for you, The producers said that GRRM interviewed them when he was decided whether or not to allow them to make the series, he asked them who *his* parents were, they gave the answer that they suspected, and GRRM gave them the job, or something like that. Howland Reed was the only other person who knew, and maybe someone he or Ned told that they trusted. Either way, Jon will find out eventually.

He's a child. Jesus.
Also, this season is insanely slow moving. I was told Book 3 is the best. So far I am unimpressed. And no, I'm not debating this with you - it painful.

You can confidently tell me that regardless of what I have or haven't done. And just the same, I'd still be right.

I liked book 3 best as well. I've not read them since the first time but I can remember being most shocked by book 3. The second half of book 5 is great as well, the first half bored me to tears.
