If its GOT type gameplay you are looking for, get Medieval 2 total war, absolutely amazing game... some of those pics with the european knights killing each other are from it. I would recommend Rome Total War and Medieval 2. But Shogun ( set in Feudal Japan ) is the most pretty.

So last night's episode was probably one of my favourites, it did such a good job of setting up what I'm expecting to be one hell of a two-party finale, while also getting elements of the 3rd season started.
Best part of the episode. "A girl lacks honour" |

I was dissapointed with a few things like them changing Jon's story in the north ( it was better in the books ) and that Arya didn't get to kill the guard in the books ( that point shows you how cold blooded she has become and is no longer a child girl )
But apart from that a perfect episode.

so after all the hub bub here and amongst some dear friends whose opinions matter to me....i decided to pick up the first book and see just what everyone is talking about....
let me first say that i am not generally a fantasy fan....i read the Lord of the Ring books when i was much younger....and really enjoyed the films....but i never really went much past that....save a few little books here and there and the occasional movie....but for the most part i just never really got that into fantasy that being said like Pete said fantasy as a genre kind of falls into that "you get it or you don't".....at first i found this book very difficult to read....with a lot of going back and "wait who the fuck is this"....but i can honestly say that the authors "third person" character chapters actually really helped me ease into the characters and the world around them....and this book is so much more than mere fantasy....great characters, the author is a complete fucking serial killer, the political intrigue is breathe taking, when i read a book (or see a film) for the most part i quickly find a character that i like and or relate to and usually stick with them till the end....in this i feel like my head is about to burst from the amount of times i've switched my views on any given character except three....i absolutely love Arya and Daenerys and i loathe Joffrey (honestly who could ever like this character...well done little bitch of a villain! ) esp. after the last chapter i read (the final "Sansa" chapter)....i can honestly say it's been a while (really since the Harry Potter books) that i have looked so forward to jumping into the next book and seeing what happens next as for the show.....after i think 6 chapters i started watching the first season (being careful to not spoil anything for myself) and have basically been watching up to where i am in the book....honestly i think the show is great and for the most part with the book....my only complaint is that the wolves are such minor characters in the show (a great example is when Brand is confronted in the woods....i was so excited to see how they portrayed Summer ripping them to shreds and feasting on their intestines....and the wolf was not in the scene at all )....still a pretty minor complaint thanks all for turning me onto this.....i'm really digging it |

The second half of Storm of Swords is legendary, the chapter with the fight between Gregor Clegane and the Viper has to be its finest moment.
