I was satisfied with the show last night.

Spoiler for The Talking Dead:
Did anyone watch The Talking Dead afterwards? They had Beth on for the second half of it and it was so freaking emotional. She was having such a hard time explaining what it's like having to leave the show - she kept choking up so bad. And they had little interviews with some of the other cast members and they all talked about crying shooting the scene. I like when actors get that invested into their roles.

Spoiler for talking dead:
It might not be just a case of being invested in the character. She also just lost her job and has to move from the place she's been living for the past three years.

Spoiler for True, but.....:
IME, She's going to have no problem getting more work based on the uber popularity of TWD and the overwhelming response to her character getting offed. Plus, she's got two avenues in front of her, acting and singing.

Spoiler for I'd like to see both.:
But she's gotta hook up with a producer that'll steer her away from the laid back poppy stuff she's currently doing.

Spoiler for Guys:
I f*cking cried. That was heartbreaking and I didn't even like Beth's character that much. I think it was Darrell's reaction that got me. See a Reedus cry and you cry yourself.

Spoiler for spiils:
That's pretty much how I felt about it too man. She was kinda wimpy and meek and really didn't get that much screen time. We never really got to know her as well as Darryl or Rick or Shane. She did go out as a bit of a badass though. That matriarchal cop lady gave me the heebeejeebees, glad she's gone. I'm surprised they didn't end up joining the hospital crew. Maybe it's too soon. There's still the other half of the season and it doesn't seem like they've got anywhere else to go. Also I hope that priest character learns to toughen the **** up already... seems like he's on the way but goddamn that little coward annoyed the hell outta me.

I thought the midseason premiere was damn great. I wasn't expecting anything like that to happen so fast or for the episode to go with the style and message that it did. I loved everything about it. After the hospital plot I was feeling kind of bored and discouraged but after tonight's episode and the hopeless theme behind the coming episodes I'm feeling really good about this show again.

I just don't understand some fans of the show. I just finished watching the new episode and the first thing I see is someone on my Facebook who called it boring and said it was too slow.

I take issue with that for numerous reasons. For one I thought it had a decent amount of action in it and thought it moved at a much faster pace than pretty much all of season four did. Secondly, and most importantly, why do some people seem to just hate the episodes that aren't just all mindless slaughters of zombies? The new episode was truly brilliant and I still feel the show has just gone from strength to strength over the last two years.
