Blaergh!

I laughed my ass off watching this video, out of nostalgia from having logged in many hours playing the game, but also because it's every bit as ridiculous as the song itself.

This video killed every bit of nostalgia I had. I do not remember anything like this.

*EDIT*
Sounds like KoRn's Dubstep album.

I'd say that THPS2 was one of the main factors in pushing me into punk music. I'm still a huge Lagwagon fan.

This is what I'm looking for! Superman by Goldfinger was my alltime favourite song for quite a while.

Haha, yes. When I was little, skateboard video games looked like this:

The music tended to be a limited range of bleeping and farting type noises, but I guess in a lot of ways those sounds did influence my taste.

ha!....remember being told to SKATE OR DIE!!!!!! and then being chased by hundreds of killers bees?

skateboard video games are just weak these days :(

i never could get the hang of the Tony Hawk games....but then i have to admit i get confused when a game involves more than two buttons :) (this is why i love katamari damacy)....but give them credit for putting Unsane on the first game

Went from guilty pleasure to pleasure real quick.

Also, I have a soft spot for that one CKY song... but don't remember the name...

"96 Quite Bitter Beings" is the only one that I can imagine ending up on a Tony Hawk soundtrack. My first experience with the series was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater on the N64, which kind of sucked because none of the songs had lyrics. Still I owe it to that game for introducing me to The Dead Kennedys and The Vandals. Tony Hawk's Underground introduced me to hip hop artist Busdriver with the song "Imaginary Places" which I really got into, however it was a few years later before I really delved into his full length albums. Looking back on the soundtrack for THUG it's probably one of the most balanced, with a good selection of hip hop, punk, and even the odd metal song here and there. I definitely think the games can be attributable for introducing many kids to new styles of music during the first half the last decade, while the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises took up the mantle for the latter half.

Gods, it's every bit as horrible as I remember it. The worst part for me are the vocals. I can't remember hearing any other singers quite reach that level of pretentious douchebagness.

Just about everything about it is awful :(

I liked Spider One as a teenager. I think that particular era of Powerman 5000 was awful, as well, but they made some honestly good funk/rap/rock before that that I still have a soft spot for. The videos are laugh out loud awful aren't they?

Since they've been brought up, I must reiterate: This is not good Powerman, but there WAS good Powerman. Their early works were very great in my book. The b-sides album they did, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is an absolutely solid record. True Force and Blood Splat Rating System are also very solid. When they 'took off', that was them falling off.

@LoathsomePete Yeah, that's the song. 96 bitter things or whatever.

i think the music from the SSX series is better

but maybe it's apple and oranges
