I want to do stand-up, and seeing as my material has been stolen by friends who do stand-up and received extremely well, I think I'd be fine. One friend got a paid gig based wholly on a joke he stole from me, which resulted in all of us smoking pot with a pretty mainstream comic whose name I would not reveal for anything.

In person, I tend to make people laugh a lot.

What possible reason is there for not naming the comic? I'm more interested in your cause for concern than knowing who it is.
