So I haven't actually watched this show cause i don't care enough to, but I keep seeing grown men talk about it. Is this just one of these stupid, ironic hipster things that's trending? If so, then definitely avoiding.

It's one of the shows on the lighter side of life that doesn't end up being unbearably smooshy. Really I'd say most of the shows enjoyment is down to the diverse characters, they're actually three dimensional (as apposed to most of todays cartoons where they tend to just be loud and annoying to get in a few laughs) and the way they interact with each other is entertaining. I can't help feeling if the mane six were cars instead of ponies the show wouldn't be getting so much stick.

Honestly?? I feel that people who call them that are ignorant a-holes. That's how I feel.

I didn't create this show for little girls, I created it for little girls and their parents--including male parents. It only stands to reason that adult animation fans without children may like it, too.

The belief that boys shouldn't be interested in girl things is the main reason there's hardly anything decent for girls in animation--- or almost any media, for that matter. It's a backwards, sexist, outdated attitude.

Anyone heard about Equestria Girls?

I'm cautiously pessimistic right now. Definitely going to go and see it if not just so I have something to complain about for a couple of weeks.

Rule 34 - If it exists there IS porn of it.

Rule 35 - If no porn is found at the moment, it will be made.

Well that will at least make the porn that already exists for FiM slightly less creepy, I mean now it's just pedophiliac rather than bestial, so that's a positive step, right?

Alright, I'll just get my opinion of the show and the fanbase out here because I'm not going to mention FiM on Music Banter outside of this thread (unless either someone questions me about my avatar or I'm still here next April and I make an entry related to it in my journal on April Fool's Day).

I'm a pretty casual fan of the show. Aside from a few shirts with some subtle references to the show that I ordered earlier this year, I don't own any merchandise. I don't force pony references into conversations and I rarely mention it on the internet. I just enjoy the show and watch some episodes whenever I feel like it because it's a refreshing change of pace from what I usually watch.

About Season 3: I thought that it was pretty damn underwhelming. The only episode that I can honestly say was good was Too Many Pinkies. Everything else that I've seen from this season was pretty forgettable. Hell, I haven't even watched the season finale yet (and I'll just say it right now: I don't give a **** about Twilight being an alicorn. She just got a pair of wings. Big ****ing whoop.). I'm probably just going to stick with the first two seasons from now on unless Season 4 ends up being good.

Now, about the fanbase: It's not as perverted as some people would like you to believe. Yes, there are some creepy individuals, but that's to be expected from a fanbase as large as the brony fanbase is.

HOWEVER: It is one of the most annoying fanbases in existence IMO. I'm actually pretty lucky in that most of my friends who are bronies are casual fans of the show, but I will admit that a lot of bronies are really annoying. I'll actually say that the FiM's fanbase is the second most annoying fandom I've seen (the most annoying being Homestuck's fanbase). Outside of watching a few fan videos (I really enjoy the Rainbow Dash Presents series), I stay away from most of the fanbase.

I'll also sum up my opinion about Equestria Girls right now: I'm not interested in it, so I won't watch it.
