The only games that I bother to get the trophies in are the ones that are easily attainable. I don't put too much work into them.
I also just get trophies randomly and I'm like cool. I got another one. It's not like a checklist of objectives for me. I don't care about them enough.

^This, word for word. (except achievements instead of trophies)
The only game I've ever come close to getting 100% is Oblivion, and it's because if you just play the story and DLC they come without even trying. I don't even bother if it's some boring 'find this' or 'collect this' type thing or something. For example with Assassin's Creed, I'll be damned if I'm running around Renaissance Italy collecting feathers to slightly extend my perceived **** size and gaming ability. |

I think the only game that I got pretty close to 100% was Heavy Rain, I didn't mind re-playing that to get different trophies plus I wanted to see all of the endings anyways.

As I said, I'll only try to 100% a game if I thoroughly enjoy it.
There's only one exception on my list, and it's Dead Space: Ignition, which I completed for Dead Space 2 unlocks.

The GTA's were a whole other story though, I always went for 100% on those games because it's actually fun to shoot for them. |

What do you guys think of how Bungie used the Vidmaster Achievements to unlock the once "Holy" Recon Armor?
I think it's pretty cool that they incorporate things like that to unlock extras, it was the most frustrating experience i've had with a video game, but the most fun I've had with a video game in a long time. There should be more games that reward you with something for getting all those points. |

But I agree, Rockstar does make fun achievements. There was one in Red Dead for driving the buffalo extinct which was the single most fun yet depressing achievement I've ever gotten. |
