Most people who cite gun rights are fearful idiots IMO. I have no issue owning a gun and have a few in my house because of my step father being a cop, but I wouldn't shoot someone over a tv and unless it was a life threatening situation I would not shoot someone.

anyways, let me say my point again, guns are created to implement discipline. i did not say killing or death. people tend to shove in the "peace talk" process in terms of achieving an organized society, but really, if you happen to know something about military, sometimes, if all else fail, scaring them is the best option. and guns are pretty much the scariest thing on earth right now. why do they allow police officers to carry one? simple. cause it denotes discipline. they're disciplinarians and guns are essential tool to execute that discipline.

Guns were definitely not made simply to keep discipline. Sure there used for that but there are so many other uses. And about a cop carrying one...I am much more afraid of the power that cop is given in a court of law than the firearm on his side. I have a gun, does that mean im trying to control someone, no I dont want to be ****ed with.

I feel like you and s_k think this way because you don't have to live in already hostile environments were you are constantly worried about having to protect yourself from some random knucklehead.

This is kind of like my experience. Until high school I was always one of the tallest kids in my grade. I also had a deep voice and facial hair before most of the other guys and was--I'm sure this won't surprise anyone here--a major wiseass. By the time high school rolled around I was more average height than tall compared to other people but I think I was kind of entrenched in people's minds as someone they didn't want to mess with so I never had any problems with being bullied or anything.
