Haha... damn.
The metro tunnels only have major camping right at the entrances and some of the door openings, but they're a lot easier to deal with because there's all the walls and places to use as cover. And the final stage you'll get campers in the buildings. But that's natural when a team is on defense. The whole point is to stop the advance, so camping is acceptable as a valid tactic. On attack, however, camping is only going to lose you the game. With that said, it's inherently harder to win an attacker match than it is a defender match... especially because attackers have 100 tickets for each stage, while defenders have unlimited tickets. It can probably be revamped a little, because my teams barely win attacker unless the defending team sucks or my attacking team is really good and keeps constant pressure on the Mcoms. So like 90 percent of my victories are on defense. Anyway, the map is getting old already. It's not a good map. I can't wait until release so we can play all 9 maps and some conquest! Hey, what's your origin ID? I'll add you on battlelog. Mine is JPO81 (generic, I know, but I didn't realize we'd be stuck with the origin ID as our soldier name back when I made my original EA account.) I don't think we can squad up together right now, as the system isn't implemented in the beta, which people are raging about. I hope everything is fixed and good for the release. Fingers crossed. |

My origin ID is Gusterr. But I just want to take a minute and gripe about how silly this BF3 inteface is- Log into origin so that I can log into battelog so that battlelog can launch the game for me... wtf, seems like the most roundabout way possible to do things, I don't understand it. |

As far as the logon thing.. you don't have to log in to Origin first. Just consider it a slightly participating bystander. All you have to do is open your internet browser, go to battlelog and log in, and start browsing the servers. When you find one, click join server, and if it's not full, everything else will happen automatically. Origin will start up, the game will initialize, and you'll get in the server. Once you click to join a server, your spot is immediately allocated, so waiting for all the other stuff to happen doesn't screw up your reserved slot. If you want, you can just have Origin start up when you start your computer up, and that will minimize the time you have to wait before you're in game. I know it seems clunky, but it's really not as bad as it seems at first. And unless your PC isn't up to snuff as far as resources go, there really isn't any reason why Origin can't run in the background as whatever intermediary function it serves. Edit: Oh yea... just wait until you get reflex sights... accuracy is awesome! Steer clear of the heavy barrel though, as that will increase recoil. Only use it if you have a foregrip, so it equalizes the recoil but still adds the accuracy bonus. |

Added you, btw.
Nice accuracy score! But don't be surprised if it goes down the more games you play / the more bullets you fire. It's the natural order of things. Your SPM is also awesome. Do you play more of a support role, or just gunning? |

I play a lot of the medic class with the M16; nothing better than popping people from mid range and then ducking down to heal yourself. |

Yea, it's a different animal. There's bullet drop, plenty of recoil, and trajectory deviations in Battlefield games. I wouldn't be to hard on myself if my accuracy was worse in a BF game than it was in a COD game. SPM is score per minute. It's an average of how many points you accumulate during a 60 second period of a match. The higher, the better... because BF is team-oriented, plenty points are given for actions that help a fellow teammate or squadmate. Drop ammo packs, drop health packs, revive, get assists, arm/disarm Mcoms, etc... all these things add to SPM. Not just kills. The entire goal is to win the round. The least important goal is to get as many kills as you can. (Although many people still try to do so, and the entire team suffers as a result) Yea, the assault/medic class is great. Best class in BF3. Followed by support. (This is true for Rush games, but not necessarily for conquest or deathmatch games). In rush, best class to use is assault/medic for attacker, and on defense, definitely the support class, as far as this map goes. I'm eager to get on the other maps though! |

Wowwww... you can really get a sense of how many people are coming to BF3 from COD.
Just look at their ribbons... all shooting related, hardly any related to supporting teammates with health and ammo. I really hope BF gameplay becomes apparent to these people during the course of the game at release. There's nothing worse than being with a squad/team who cares about nothing more than how many people they kill. I do think conquest maps are going to make the intended play style a little more obvious, so hopefully those that don't want to play for the team will stick to Rush or deathmatch games. Fuuuuuu.. I want conquest NAO! |
