Favourite iphone/touch/pad apps.
Yes I know I am embracing the populace by owning an Apple product and actually finding it essential, so apologies for that but what are your favourite apps? They can be games, educational, work related tools etc.
First up for me-games: You can't not like this simple but addictive game. Throw a bird through a catapult to knockout the smiley smarmy pigs hiding in all manner of obstacles. Completed but a few stars short of full completion Similar to Angry Birds in terms of gameplay but cooler graphics and you are throwing badass trucks at obstacles. What's not to like? Fruit Ninja is the app that everyone usually goes for but this is so much better with many more modes and features. Who doesn't want to own a Samurai sword and slice peppers eh? Zombie Flick. You stand at a crossroads and fend off Zombie hoardes by chucking anything you can find at their heads to stop them. Kitchen sinks, spanners and even bunches of flowers are utilised. The best is the frisbee as you can get multiple head shots as is the slo mo option where you can revel in those decapitations. Blue Block. Simple yet addictive. Get the blue block out of the frame in as few moves as possible. Paper Toss. Yup. Chucking a screwed up piece of paper into a bin is a staple requirement of men and office workers alike.

haha... yea man I understand. I actually swallowed my pride and got an iPhone myself because I was tired of my burner's limitations, seeing as how I don't have a home phone connection and all.
As far as apps, my most used ones are generally weather and news apps, but for fun ones, I recently downloaded Light Bike, which is the spinoff of the Tron light cycles. Really fun, and you can play online. Monkey Kickoff is another game I love. Stick Wars is a fun game. Death Worm is another good one. iGibbets is probably my favorite. As far as functional stuff, I recently downloaded USB Disk, which lets you transfer all kinds of documents to your iPhone. Useful for school-going folk like myself. Folks who have the limited plan like myself may also be interested in the Text-Free app. Or the many like it. Find iPhone is a good app that you can set up so that if you ever lose your phone, you can GPS locate it from your computer. Always handy to have. |

Angry Birds is probably the most addictive game I have ever played. It's so much better on the iPad then on the iPod/Phone because the screen is bigger and it's in HD. Plants vs Zombies is also really good for a simple tower defense game, and it's also in HD for the iPad
Other games and apps that I really like (not in any particular order): Kindle E-Book App (for iPad - with the anti-glare screen cover) Bejeweled 2 Chuzzle Paper Toss Tetris Cut the Rope As you can see, I spend most of my time playing games There's some apps that I'd really like to be able to use, like Last FM or Hulu, but can't since I live in Canada and they're only for Americans. |

Quite possibly the most fun app on my iPod. This uses an external headet to capture audio, and plays it back in scene where it alters the audio depending on the current scene you are on. Some scenes give you echoes, others synthesize voices etc. Fantastic app, and best part, it's free!!! Check it out, RJDJ. |

reading this thread makes me want to get an iPad but I just can't stand apple products so I'll probably get a Nook Color instead.
