Unfortunatley they repeatedley fail to book anyone who can remotley live up to the halftime entertainment expectations.
Regardless, it's basically a trumped up high school flag girls show. If it's good, you should feel treated. If it's ****, it should be expected. You could be like me and not bother with the superbowl in the first place. IMO, the whole thing is an overglorified Budweiser commercial.

I just don't know why anyone would put expectations in a cheesy halftime show. Look at the nature of what it is. It's not like you're going to get Jesus rising from the turf, and spewing out his message of world peace, infinitely shinning light on the world.

While I dont agree with you..your post did make me laugh.. For me to not bother with the Super Bowl. Would be to deny myself any kind of closure for the season. Regaurdless if my teams in the running or not, I follow the sport pretty closley and remain curious as to who will win in the end. After all the predictions ,and analysis, and what nots. Its just one of the few things I take interest in and enjoy following.

It's Fox dude. It's entirely possible that Jesus could rise during the half-time show and tell everyone that to go to heaven, they must believe in him and drink Budweiser.

Budweiser probably has enough money to buy him off.

You obviously don't know the black eyed peas, they never claimed to be dancers at all so I don't know why people are ragging on them for not dancing all over the stage when they aren't DANCERS!!

They claim to be PERFORMERS, last time I checked performers are capable of singing and doing more than pumping and off-beat bopping. They will make millions from the show I feel like they could have at least worked on maybe a high kick or something snazzy like that.

just because you are a performer doesn't mean you will automatically start dancing and doing choreographed routines when you don't know anything about dancing in the first place.

I don't think you know what the word performer means. It certainly doesn't mean that they need to dance when they aren't dance or hop around the stage. Sure the lighting guy or w/e tech was awesome but who's idea do you think it was? THEIRS! performers don't have to do more than just sing if they want to.

One thing I would have liked them to do, just like their entrance where they came down on those ropes or w/e. I feel like they should have left the same way. It would have been pretty cool. Slash was awesome and I agree that Fergie flubbed up whatever she was attempting to do. Usher was also a highlight of the performance doing a split over will's head. I'm a B.E.P. fan so I enjoyed it but I can see why others didn't.

At any rate ultimatley its the Super Bowl. Even though the number of viewers are in an elite category. Ultimatley its main purpose is the contest of athletic ability. Despite the continued disappointment of those who are in search of some sort of musicapalooza fantasy. Ive come to expect the halftime show to be crap and turn to a sportsnetwork for the experts to give their halftime anaylization of the first half statistics. Along with what adjustments should be made for either team to have suceess in the second half of play. Might I suggest something other than a football game halftime event. To satisfy your hunger for musical excellence in the future. The idea is with good intention but is consistantly a product of its own enevitable detriment. Its heartbreaking I know, but I wouldnt expect a brief throw and catch game during a recess at a Rolling Stones concert to be able to meet my football expectations either. While its audience doesnt see the concert of a lifetime the point is the game does exceeds the level of play we tune in for. So be patient oh yea of little athletic ability, interest, or knowledge. American Idol should be more to your liking.

Without sounding as if im contridicting myself the earlier argument was as to why the concerts are held in such high regaurd. To which the obvious fact of it being the most viewed event on t.v. every year. However thats not to dismiss the fact that the majority of the viewers are sports fans and didnt expect a musical phenomina.
