Removing the 'music' from their name is just a formality. They haven't played music in years except for their 3AM-6AM programming. MTV and VH1 are all reality shows, the strong majority of which feature reality 'stars' that were created by the TV programs from other shows. Nearly every show on VH1 is a spin-off of another reality show, which was a spin-off of another reality show. It's super cheap and brings in bigger profit. This is the reality show generation for sure.
