Light Sleeper is an absolute gem. Shame more people don't know about it
Iput the noms up as I get them, send me that nomination and it'll be up.

I suggested Control vs 24 Hour Party People, but James seems to have ignored it. I kind of disagree though, I think two heavy weight films competing is a good thing, regardless of whether they're chalk and cheese.

Oh, I didn't realise you had that many match ups. I just thought you chose ones you felt were good match ups etc.

So you just put them up as you get them? That's good.

I was thinking of starting this thread a week before you did it, I just thought it'd be a bad idea. But it's turned out really good. This one > Album wars.

Yes but many people wouldn't touch a certain film with a barge pole but another may be a curious watch late at night regardless. I.E Taxi Driver is an acquired taste but even if you wouldn't watch it again One Flew is much more palatable.

and I just couldn't resisting throwing in Light Sleeper as it's as good as Taxi Driver- trust me! and it's the same screenwriter.

So basically you think Taxi Driver is less accessible than OFOTCN? I think if anyone votes for a film because it's easier to get into then they're a bit dumb. I can see what you're saying, pitting a nice easy going film against an indepth foreign film would be really unfair. But I dunno, I think it makes it interesting if two films are total opposites. Although the album wars are basically 2 albums of the same genre, that are generally considered classics with in the genre.

Album Wars has gone down hill since TheBig3 gave it up. Boo Boo is banned atm isn't he? Has anyone taken it over?
