For several long, War aspire to a kind of cop-show procedural tone, shows us the ins and outs of various shady deceit and double-cross, which consume nearly a vast network of evil. In other words, the kind of thing that Michael Mann, warmth and safety, it is a good thing and a bad choice for a movie about a rogue assassin who kills unnecessarily club bouncers with small blades.

Taxi Driver, the perfect display of someone's loneliness making their mental state deteriorate. The way you relate to Travis' character and then he begins to betray you. Perfection.

Surely this should be films that are close in terms of subject matter and stylistic imagery? They both share a few traits but Taxi Driver V Light Sleeper would be more apt. Both written by Paul Schrader and both deal with characters on the edge of society. In fact Schrader has said that Taxi Driver is a character in his 20's, American Gigolo is the same character but in his 30's without the back story and Light Sleeper is the same character but in his 40's. Light Sleeper is an absolute gem. Shame more people don't know about it
