I liked Inception, but not love.
I didn't like The Matrix at all though...

The Matrix 0

A different kind of fun in the horror sense then Not one for the squeamish, I can agree with that. Had to mention one of the recent French gore flicks though, as they're definitely worth seeing. It was between Martyrs, Inside and Frontiers for the mention there.

And, since I haven't seen Inception, I'm not gonna bother with this round.

Wow.

Uh, I'm not sure if I'm ready to make this decision. I saw Inception twice in theaters, but it's place in history hasn't quite sunk in yet.

I think The Matrix gets kind of a negative stigma in a lot of people's minds because of the sequels. But the original is fucking badass.

The Matrix 2
Inception 3

No offence but I think including a film that's only been out a few weeks means that many wouldn't have seen it and the WOW factor is still prominent. Give it at least 5 years and see if it holds up to multiple viewings. I haven't seen Inception yet but obviously want to so no vote for me on this one.

yea i don't think its a good matchup either. i liked both movies a lot. i guess i will go with the matrix as it had a bigger initial wow factor but in a year my mind may change. the sequels had tons of cheese but they were a fun watch(fight-porn).

matrix 3
inception 3

Perhaps, I just wanted to see if people preferred a film that's been extremely influential in the last 10 years or so, and extremely original. Or whether they'd prefer a film that was both heavily influenced by it and hasn't had time to be really considered as one of the greats because it's so new. It's 3-3 now, so I think it's an interesting battle. Nothing wrong with the wow factor vs nostalgia, not forgetting I was in year 4 when The Matrix was released. I grew up with a generation of kids in the playground trying this during play time:

Yet I still prefer Inception, that's my defence for this match up. Wow factor vs nostalgia.

Another vote for Inception.

I thought it was amazing, and enjoyed it way more than Matrix. Then again, I havent seen Matrix in years, so I should probably watch it again sometime. But for now, definitely Inception. I thought it was f*cking fantastic
