Batman - 0
Dark Knight - 5

Never cared for Burton much either. Dark Knight is probably the best comic adaptation that I can remember.

Dark Night 7
Batman 1989 0

I always thought people preferred the original in some ways, because it's the original concept. But yeah, The Dark Night is obviously supremely better so I dunno why I thought that.

I totally agree with this post. Though I have to say I prefer Batman Begins to The Dark Knight and Batman Returns to Batman.

Anyway...

The Dark Night: 8
Batman: 0

Donno, I just loved the industrial polluted feel I got through out Burton's Batman. The Dark Knight felt a bit too clean, too digital.
Although The Joker was much superior in the latter, but The Dark Knight seemed a bit too revolved around the villain, and somehow I hated Batman's parts. They just seemed to linger on. Plus, I preferred Batman Begins to that one.

The Dark Night- 8
Batman- 1

Also only the 2nd movie I've seen in the theater in 2010. I saw about 70-100 in 2009
I think I hear what you're saying, but I don't know what you would consider a good film in this case.

I think where Inception fared better than most other films is that its used symbols to deliver a meaning that didn't beat you over the skull, was still logical in the actual plot it had layed out, and lent itself to multiple interpretations.

Its narrative was probably the best thing I've seen in quite awhile. Curious to know what you meant by good film/not good film though.

It's interesting that you found the movie that was filmed on location in a real city to be cleaner than the one that was filmed almost entirely on sets.

Yeah Burton's originals tend to get flack for being a gothy college art project. I think Nolan made strides to make it seem possible.
