Didn't it take 6 AA or AAA batteries to run, and even then you could only get a couple hours out of it.

yeah, that's the main effin' problem with it

but it was almost like carrying an arcade in your pocket at the time

these days. i see people with DSes and PSPs, and it's like been there, done that, blase and passe

I think it was like 4 AAs but yeah it sucked that you couldn't get much play time out of it.

I used to put the batteries in my freezer to get some extra juice out of it so I could play more.

I currently own a PS2 (slim) and a PSP-2000.

I used to have the original PlayStation, but I spilled a soda in it. After it died, I soldered it together with an RC car to create a homemade battlebot, complete with a spinning sawblade and steak knife spears. Yay for middle school nerdgasms.

I think I still have my old NES, my old SNES, my PS2 and now I have a PS3. . . not sure where my PS1 went

probably getting an Xbox 360 soon

I own all three consoles (Wii, PS3 and XBOX) have to say that the XBOX gets used more than the other two put together!!! So well worth buying.

Snap! Japanese RPGs are also a fave of mine, especiallythe really well known stuff like the Zelda series and the Final Fantasy series (Final Fantasy VII that game is the stuff of legend) But I also really like real Japanese style RPGs such as Dragon Quest, Shenmue which never got past 2 games and there is one game I used to love (forget the name) which came out in the late 90s similiar to Zelda which was set in medieval Japan.

Will check that thread out.

my faves are Grandia III (though it's more real-time), the Disgaea series, Dragonquest VIII, Rogue Galaxy (cheating again, semi real-time) and Final Fantasy X (mostly for the puzzles)

I am personally not a big gamer and not because I am crap either. I just get bored easily.

Xbox 360, Gamecube, I love xbox usually play rpgs such as Fallout or Oblivion. I enjoy Zelda on Gamecube.
