It's no big deal, Gran Torino just has a special place in my heart as a movie that takes place in a suburb of Detroit about a half hour from my house. I'm sure Jackhammer would understand...

And yeah! He's all about the relating to film. America kicks ass in that department, good old Tarantino.

I watched Gran Torino on a date, I barely watched it because the girl I went with was filth. Doesn't she know I prefer films to women? B*tch. But even after I watched it properly I thought it was trash. I just didn't get how well liked it was. I still don't get the appeal.

I just didn't get how well liked it was. I still don't get the appeal.
I laughed my ass off first of all. Ol' Walt Kowalski overcoming racism and Thao overcoming gang violence as the central themes of the movie were just kinda cherry-on-tops for me...
