Bit of a request here, but since I lost my saved games ages ago, would you be able to send me any of yours? I'm keen to go back and play some of the harder levels but I can't be bothered completing all the easier ones.

People who say Brawl is too chaotic are completely missing the entire point of the series. The randomness and chaos and pure spectacle of it is what makes it stand out from every other fighting game series. It's not a game to play for competition, you play it for fun. If people just want to boast about their skills and put together boring matches that only serve to boost their egos (because they take this sh*t WAY too seriously) then they should just stick to Street Fighter. Oh yeah, and Sonic and Snake are in it. C'MON! Last edited by boo boo; 06-24-2010 at 01:38 AM. |

Actually, I don't have any save files for RCT1. I only have saved games for RCT2, and most of them are on custom landscapes that I built from the ground up, as well as being completely filled with custom built rides. So for you to run my save games, you'd need my landscapes, scenarios, and tracks as well.
If you've got the RCT itch, I suggest downloading 2. It's really just RCT1 with way more features and options. Additionally, you can download a Trainer (basically a GameShark) to get you through the early scenarios really quickly. I also installed RCT3, tried it, and didn't like it. |

I think I will try RCT2. The only thing that annoyed me about RCT1 was satisfying an objective quite early on and having to wait until the full amount of time had elapsed since trainers didn't exist back then (or I wasn't aware of them).

@boo boo: Casual accessibility and competitive play don't have to be mutually exclusive. You see, I played Melee with two primary groups of people.
a) My siblings and friends, with whom I quite often enjoyed a very casual session of four man FFA with all items on and stage selection set to random, and b) My neighbor (aka ultimate rival, srs business!) and close friends who were on a similar playing field, skill-wise, as me. Final Destination, 3 lives, no items, of course. It was perfect. The game worked for both sides of the spectrum. Just because that community of hyper competitiveness existed didn't mean the series had to be defined by it... Nintendo really should have taken cue from Bungie/Valve and catered to that "MLG" group IN ADDITION to improving the game for a more casual audience. I mean, really, they had to add random tripping animations to the game? I can't even use Lucas because he falls over every 30 seconds. |

I mean the items and stages have always been designed to make luck a part of the gameplay. They're part of what makes the series unique. I never got the appeal of spending 50 bucks on a Smash game only to have 1 on 1 matches as the highest tier character on final destination with no weapons. Why buy the game if you're gonna ignore 99% of the content? And why buy it just to do what you can do with every other fighting game and what you were already doing with Melee anyway? I don't care if tourney kids feel cheated, I hate people like that who favor competition with the so called elite players and bragging rights over what the game was designed for and that's just to have fun, whenever and with anyone. |

Apparently everybody trips the same amount, but I main Lucas and it sure does seem like he trips a bit more.
