Default A Change is Gonna Come
Has anybody read Craig Werner's "A Change is Gonna Come: Music, Race and the Soul of America"?

It's an excellent account of African-American music from gospel right through to modern day R&B. An intelligent and well informed narrative, and a highly compelling read. I really recommend it!
