The most consistent director
Who do you think is the most consistent director ever? As well as today. I was having this discussion and I think every direction has had at least one bad film. But other great directors have had a few bad ones in their catalogue. But who overall is the most consistent?
I know it's a bit difficult to do, if you consider someone like Spielberg who has been making films since the 60s and then you have an up and coming director like Christopher Nolan.. But I'd be curious to hear everyone's opinions anyway. My vote would go to Quentin Tarantino. He has got only one bad film and even his worst film.. I still enjoyed watching it, mind you I'd never watch Death Proof again. |
I really liked Death Proof
Anyhow I'd like to raise Danny Boyle Only one not fantastic film and it was still pretty decent and i'm not a sci-fi guy so yes Danny Boyle. |

The Beach was great, Millions was alright but Shallow Grave, Slumdog, Trainspotting all top 20.

my vote goes for Stanley Kubrick.
everything I've seen by him was amazing. |
Tarantino's my favorite but he takes forever to release a new film...

^Aye we'll have to wait till like 2013 for the next.

That's nothing compared to Norshteyn.
I'll have to say Tarkovsky, being my favorite director of all. All of his films are great (granted, I have not yet seen all of his student films). |

2004 2007 2009 in the 00s he churned them out quite recent, it took him 6 years to follow up Jackie Brown. I think Tarantino is the most consistent but there's still time yet for his films to go really shit. I just hope they don't. He's making a film before Kill Bill vol 3. Kill Bill is set for 2013.. so we'll have one before that. :D |
To be honest I can't see the fuzz over Querentino. I've never managed to watch any of his movies all the way through. The seem so utterly pointless.
