I think I actually liked Batman Begins better, though I have a few problems with that one as well. |

Vzvumranfmnkapom WHAT? Didn't think it was humanly possible to dislike Goodfellas. IMO, the best mob film ever made. I remember the first time I watched it, I couldn't look anywhere else other than directly at the TV. Enthralling. |

Holy crap, I've finally met someone else who doesn't like this movie! My complaint is somewhat different from yours though. I think for most of it's running time it's sort of okay, just a typical mob movie, but I feel like it completely falls apart in the last half hour or so. That's what makes my assessment of it go from mediocre to bad.

I'm bored with Goodfellas (or any Scorsese's movie). I like the first half but then I struggle to get through to the end

I'm not big on Scorsese's stereotypical Italian mafia movies. The Departed was pretty good but I struggled to sit through Mean Streets. I need to get around to watching Taxi Driver though.
Give me a crime movie like Reservoir Dogs, The Usual Suspects, or L.A. Confidential as the best of the 90s crime movies instead... |

Speaking of the Departed, has anyone seen the original? For those who don't know, it started out as a 3 part Japanese movie. I thought it was much better, even though I liked the American version as well. With 3 parts, there was much more room for character development and all that good stuff.

Yeah the original was way better but I do need to give the remake another chance. I didn't dislike it but it did seem to waver between being really good and just ok, for me.
