Well, to be fair
Predators isn't a remake, it's sequel. It's only a reboot in the sense that they breaking off from the whole
Aliens vs. Predator thing.
You are definitely right about remakes as a rule though. I agree that
The Thing is an exception. As is, in my opinion,
The Fly.
