I'm not as toe-curlingly awkward as he is, but finding myself in the real world is a problem I tend to have. I think I sympathised most with his belief in his 'imaginative' projects and the fact that they left most around him completely baffled. The disaster calendar would be a prime example of this. He is a lot more open with his creative ideas to absolutely anyone who will listen, whereas I tend to keep any abnormal thoughts I have swimming around completely to myself.
