replace all those albums with cd's and you basically have me (only i work in a lab). i related to high fidelity on a ridiculous level...when i first saw this, i was basically going through the same relationship crap (only it didn't have a happy ending) and the friends i hang out with have a similar elitist approach to music appreciation. we shun people with poor taste in music, only i handle like rob gordon. if you have poor taste in music but show an interest in the good stuff, i can handle it.

As cliched as it sounds, Holden Caulfield from Catcher in the Rye. I read it right at the tail end of my angsty teenage phase and he just seemed to encompass everything I was feeling at that time. Other than that I can't really think of anybody else minus like... Marten from the webcomic Questionable Content except I'm nowhere near as "shockable" and I'm not the biggest indie rock fan.
